March Stack A Stash, with Hazel

What is Stack A Stash?

Once a month we will be offering Stack A Stash, each month hosted by a different instructor. In these classes we will be making easy cards that can be adapted to any paper or sentiments.
These classes will be shorter, so that busy people will have a better chance of fitting them into their schedules. The class will always be the last Sunday of each month, so you can know well ahead of time when the classes will be offered. We will always do one Christmas card, and one all occasion card, but will do TWO of each design for a total of 4 cards per class. Start your stash of cards now!
Come to one class, or attend as many as you want. All skill levels welcome.

Pocket Scrapbooking & Crop, with Barb

Pocket scrapbooking is so much fun. It can be as simple or creative as you wish. Just pick a pocket page that suits your pictures. Slide them in, and then decorate the remaining pockets.
For this scrap, each participant will receive one sheet of the new Simple Stories line “Homespun”. Love it, and found the paper easy to use for any family situation.
At the beginning of the crop we will make one 4 x 6 pocket card. The McGill flower tool is so simple to use, and adds dimension to flowers. We will use it to make two flowers and embellish the pocket card. The flower centres are brads. We will take a brad and change the colour by embossing it. Simple and a great way to use up old brads. Easy, easy!!
Supplies for the crop are:
Basic tool kit including:
  • Glue and glue dots
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers (to hold the brad when heat embossing)
  • Paper cutter, and
And if you have it,
  • Iced Spruce Tim Holtz distress ink
  • Stamp blending tool or sponge
  • Fine point black pen, zig, sharpie or other, and
  • A McGill flower making tool kit and mat.

Date: March 9, 2014
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

After we make the pocket card, the rest of the day is yours to crop and enjoy. Hope you can make it. Crop size is limited to 10 people.

Crop with Bonnie

Join us every second Sunday of the month for our crop from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  You will create a feature card for your pocket scrapbook or you can use it on a regular scrapbook page as well. For just $5.00 you will learn a new technique to spice up your scrapbook and crop the rest of the day at the store!  Bring your lunch or we can get together and order pizza.

We will also be offering a monthly discount to our croppers on the day of the crop.  The first month we will be offering 25% off all of our We R Memory Keepers Albums Made Easy products which include albums, page protectors, journaling cards and punches.  After comparing various albums and page protectors at the Craft and Hobby Association's annual trade show, we have found they are definitely superior in quality.

Bonnie will be hosting our first crop on Sunday, February 9th.  You will be decorating a card with die cuts to use in one of the pockets and will have the option to purchase the coordinating elements to complete a themed layout.
